The Arcade Talks 7: Games, characters and fans.

The Arcade Hotel is kickin’ off the new year with the next installment of “The Arcade Talks”, where we gather industry experts and let you in on the in and outs of the gaming world. For the month of January, we will host Nicolle Lamerichs.

Nicolle is a senior lecturer at HU University of Applied Sciences and author of “Productive Fandom”. She is interested in the ways in which fans explore and embody video game characters and knows everything about the future of data-driven characters and artificial intelligence within the industry.

Nicolle will bring different examples of game love, from fan fiction to cosplay. She’ll illustrate how we share and embody our love for video games. How do video games resonate with their players and fans? What’s the significance of an avatar? What emotions do gamers go through?

Let’s talk about games, characters, and fans. Don´t miss this opportunity to learn from the best in the industry and network with like-minded people.
