The Arcade Talks is back in May for another evening full of gaming discussion (and a video game session at the end).
Have you been wondering how games and play affect your daily lives? Have you been trying to figure out how you can make your every day a bit more playful? In this edition, we will look at games from a more personal perspective. We will examine how games and play can have an impact in real life and carry bigger relevance than only fun or enjoyment We will try to make people look at play more in depth, and question play and games as a product or tool.
The speaker for the evening will be Ellis Bartholomeus. Ellis is a product designer and author of the book ‘Apply Play’. She describes herself as always “looking for the holy grail: not just to engage a user with a product, but how to allow the user to want to interact and play around with experiences“.
20:15-20:30: Questions and discussion
20:30-onwards: Game on!
